We are The one That

    La scuola in festa
Pezzettino. Noi siamo Quello-Che. (We are The one That..)

For the occasion of the School Festival, organized by the 'Assessorato Politiche Educative Scolastiche della Famiglia e della Gioventù (Department of Educational Policies for Families and Youth) of the Municipality of Rome, il Laboratorio d'arte of the Palazzo delle Esposizioni and the Scuderie del Quirinale proposes an activity for children based on the knowledge and sense of belonging to one’s own community and invites us to meet others.

For this event, the Laboratorio d'arte goes beyond the walls of the Museum and opens itself up to the world in the gardens of Piazza Vittorio. Children and adults will have the possibility of living through a special experience, getting to know art and its protagonists. Awaiting the autumn workshops of the Palazzo delle Esposizioni, dedicated to Calder and Lionni, a story of friendship, Pezzettino.

Noi siamo Quello-Che (we are The one- That), taking its cue from an extraordinarily rich story by Leo Lionni, a children’s writer and illustrator. Continuously looking for their identities, Lionni’s characters talk to us about forms and colours, but also of friendship and solidarity. With the story of Pezzettino the young public sets off on a journey in company of a small coloured pebble that, having got lost, asks everyone who it is, which group it is part of, which society it belongs to.

A collective story to talk about oneself and create the one big project together.
